Anesthesia Options at Oral Surgery Studio
Your Comfort Is Our Priority
We understand that surgery can feel intimidating — but at Oral Surgery Studio, you’re in caring, capable hands. Dr. Heidi Mederos offers several types of anesthesia to ensure your experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
As a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Mederos has advanced training in anesthesia and patient safety. Whether you're having wisdom teeth removed, dental implants placed, or another procedure, we’ll help you choose the right level of sedation for your needs and comfort.
Types of Anesthesia We Offer:
Local Anesthesia
Used to numb a specific area of your mouth, local anesthesia keeps you awake but pain-free. This is often used for simple or minor procedures.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
A mild sedative inhaled through a mask that helps you relax while remaining awake. It wears off quickly and is a great option for patients with mild anxiety.
IV Sedation (Twilight Sedation)
Delivered through a small IV in your arm, IV sedation allows you to enter a deeply relaxed, semi-conscious state. You may not remember much of the procedure, and you’ll need someone to drive you home.
General Anesthesia
For more complex procedures or patients with high anxiety, general anesthesia allows you to be completely asleep during surgery. This is safely administered and closely monitored by Dr. Mederos and her team.
Every patient is different — and so is every treatment plan. At your consultation, Dr. Mederos will review your health history, discuss your preferences, and recommend the safest and most comfortable anesthesia option for you.
At Oral Surgery Studio, we’re here to make your surgical experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.
